The guitar has been around in different forms for a really long time. Older string instruments came before the modern guitar, and over time people changed the shape, strings, and sound. The guitar became easier to carry around than bigger instruments, which helped make it popular.
Acoustic guitars became common because they could be played by themselves without needing power or extra equipment. That is one reason I like guitar too. You can just grab it and play almost anywhere, like outside, by a river, or sitting in a room.
Guitar got even more popular with blues, country, rock, and folk music. Electric guitars changed music alot because they could be louder and have different sounds. Acoustic guitars still stayed important too, especially for simple songs and singing.
For me, guitar is not just about music history. I started liking it more because it gave me something to do and helped me relax when things were not going great. My dad gave me my guitar, and that made it feel more personal instead of just being another hobby.
